This was my first experience of submitting a poster abstract and the process was very simple. I would encourage anyone to submit an abstract and share their experiences with the wider community. It's a great way to give you and your colleagues a pat on the back for your efforts. Vince Saunders, Infection Prevention 2011 Poster Presenter

Having submitted and presented a poster abstract for the second year running I would say I found this a worthwhile experience. It's great to share good practice and ideas. As a relatively new infection prevention practitioner this has helped me to gain confidence and the associated research helped enhance knowledge of the subject I concentrated on. The abstract submission process was extremely easy and straight forward and on arrival at the event the board were clearly marked. During my allocated presentation time, I was able to speak with a number of people about the IV Forum Group and present our finding with a recent survey.
The delegates that attended were very interested in my presentation and the overall experience was positive and most enjoyable. Claire Horsfield, Infection Prevention 2011 Poster Presenter

The experience of poster presentation preparation was an excellent learning opportunity for me. It taught me how to priorities the key features of the message I wanted to share and simultaneously how to make every word count. Everyone should do one sometime even on our routine everyday experiences to share our learning. Mary Hanrahan, Infection Prevention 2011 Poster Presenter
