Each of the three days explores a particular theme:
Day 1: Informing Expert Practice
Day 2: Promoting Excellence in Infection Prevention
Day 3: Sustaining Systems for Patient Safety
Infection prevention is a key strategic objective for every healthcare establishment and keeping ahead of the rapidly changing requirements is a challenge for everyone working in infection prevention and control. This event offers the broadest range of topics, the latest developments and some of the world’s leading experts.
The conference is spread over 3 days and offers a full range of topics for all those with an interest in or a responsibility for infection prevention and communicable disease control in all areas of health and social care.
The new IV Forum will be presenting their first full day’s programme in conjunction with the main IPS conference programme on Tuesday 22nd September. This session is aimed primarily at people working in IV therapy but it will also be of interest to anyone working in infection prevention and control. Delegates can either register for the IV track on its own or register as a delegate to the whole IPS conference. Any delegate can select which sessions they attend on each day from the three main tracks in the programme.
On each of the days there will be a series of short 30 minute Infection Prevention Updates being run for care home and nursing home staff. The speaker will be an expert Infection Prevention Practitioner who will be providing clear practical advice to staff who deal daily with patient care in these establishments.
These sessions will be free to healthcare workers and they will focus on some key issues such as dealing with MRSA, C Diff, Scabies and other topics. The sessions will run all morning and repeat in the afternoon.
